Mohanji loves the surprise factor in life: He doesn’t like to predict future even though he can

Mohanji loves to look at life as a bucket of surprises. He avoids predicting anyone’s future, because that would kill the surprise factor, which is the very thing he appreciates about life. He repeatedly says that life cannot be reshared nor reversed, and that’s the beauty of it! Each thing happens just ONCE. To some, it sounds beautiful, to some, scary. To me, it’s beautiful, it gives me an optimistic, futuristic feeling, to enjoy each moment fully. Real growth happens through the unexpected, not through knowing what lies ahead.

Mohanji never predicts people’s future. He doesn’t want to, as he has zero need to impress anybody. Those who want to impress are insecure. True masters aren’t insecure. They rarely predict, but they give transformation to those who come to them ripe and ready.

Only in very rare cases, perhaps only when someone is about to encounter something negative, will Mohanji say something predictive, to extend his support to the person. If the karma is too dangerous, he may warn them about it or help avoid it. He can intervene this way only if someone specifically asks him for help, and it has to come from a very open, honest place. Another option where Mohanji helps is if somebody engages themselves a lot in selfless service. People who serve a lot are easier to help, because they have already reduced their karmic weight through service. It makes it easier for Mohanji to rewire that person’s karmic path – that too only if they ask for help.

Anyway, Mohanji predicts stuff very rarely, only in cases of truly serious matters.

Woman wanted help in choosing her husband

ree

For example, there was a woman who asked Mohanji to help her choose her future husband. This was before she had any man as a potential option. Mohanji said “sure.” He told her that if she wanted Mohanji’s opinion, she could show his photo to Mohanji when a potential man entered her life, before marrying him, so that Mohanji could give his honest opinion before any serious step was taken. The woman agreed, as it was her desire that Mohanji help her in choosing.

Soon after, the woman came to Mohanji with her future husband. They both stood in front of Mohanji, and she asked for Mohanji’s blessing for the marriage. Mohanji blessed them, but he had no chance to give his feedback because the woman had already decided. Like previously discussed, she should have come alone to Mohanji to discuss the matter, instead of bringing the man and putting Mohanji in front of a fait accompli.

Later, she got married, and the husband began to beat her. She complained to Mohanji, saying that he had not warned her. But what did Mohanji have to do with it? What was he supposed to do? Should he have said, right in front of the man, “This person abused you in every past life, and he will do it again”?

Our impatience makes us dig our own holes and then we jump right in. Solution? Patience. Intelligence. Discussion. Don’t rush. Don’t chase. Especially for such important decisions.

People make foolish decisions on their own, despite guidance from the master, and then complain. This man had abused her in earlier lifetimes as well, and he came back to continue the same pattern. Mohanji would have prevented it if she had done as he advised.

Some more interesting points…

  1. Mohanji will never predict our destiny for our own entertainment, for fun. Avatars like Mohanji are not here to impress or entertain. Their role is far more serious – setting people free from the clutches of their patterns into the eternal ocean of consciousness.

  2. People who are genuinely immersed in selfless service and serve people and animals tirelessly – Mohanji assists them extra. He deeply appreciates when somebody is putting others’ pains before their own; he rewards them abundantly.

  3. Another reason why Mohanji doesn't predict people's future is because predicting the future is feeding people's insecurities. If we go that path, we end up being more and more insecure. We think it will comfort us to know things, but in fact, it cripples us. It takes away whatever small fearlessness is left inside us. Mohanji is encouraging us to face life like a lion, to stop being insecure and start accepting the unpredictability of life like kings. Mohanji’s path is Raja Yoga, Raja means “royal”. Being royal is an attitude. Fearlessness, stability, elegance. No chasing. Chasing just displays our insecurity.

Unpredictable life of Jesus

ree

Jesus’ life was highly unpredictable. Each day, he did not even know whether he would be alive the next day. From the moment he became a thorn in the eyes of the religious authorities, this was the way he lived.

He was disliked by the ruling religion and by many of his contemporaries because he spoke in a way that did not align with the religious dogma of the time. The authorities did not like seeing people respect an ordinary carpenter. He held no position in the church, had no title, he was simply a carpenter, so who was he to speak about God? Through this alone, he was teaching that it is impossible to have everything predicted, and that we must be prepared for anything without being afraid. He spoke very little, yet he conveyed the message of fearlessness clearly through his life.

Life is unpredictable, and there is nothing we can do to stop that. We can plan as much as possible, but we must remain ready for surprises. If we are not, we will be hit hard sooner or later. Karma keeps presenting situations to us, and we cannot stop it. All we can do is stay ready and respond intelligently, seeing what can be done in each moment. Most predictions are usually sought by insecure people.

We will never have everything figured out

People recently sought help, asking: “What should I do with my life?, “I don’t have clarity about my next steps.”, “Which job should I accept?”

We will never know for sure! Even people who live with Mohanji don’t analyse stuff so much and they take decisions. So what if you make a mistake? At least it’s your own, own it! People who live with Mohanji, as well as Mohanji himself, are highly responsible. Mohanji doesn’t spoonfeed anybody by telling them which decision to take – that’s creating cripples, not people!

Also, many people confuse spirituality and practicality. Not everything is about spirituality, often you just have to be practical. Guru will anyway be there to try to prevent anything really bad from coming to you. It heavily depends on your karma, but he can try. But making a mistake is not a bad thing! Mistakes are great lessons. The point is – we can’t really ask every small thing. We gotta keep making decisions. We are royals, not rats.

When Guru stops talking

ree

In my initial years with Mohanji, while traveling with him and having more access to him, I occasionally asked all such small questions, I was afraid I would make a mistake. He allowed me some time, it soothed me. But over time, his responses slowly became shorter, and sometimes there was no response at all. He was making me independent, even from him.

Mohanji generally shared a story about a master who stopped answering a disciple’s questions once the disciple was ready to receive answers inside.

When that happened for me, that’s when my Cosmic Consciousness experience happened. That experience was my biggest experience with Mohanji, when he showed me his real form, the cosmic form.

So, masters sometimes put us in situations without answers on purpose. Embrace it, take it as a sign that you are mature enough to deserve it! It's a big step, a sign of our stability and maturity.

Mohanji’s restaurant plan

ree

As I said, Mohanji loves unpredictability and the surprise factor in life – the miracle of not knowing what will happen. And that's so sweet about his style! I love how he rejoices it.

He even suggested that all Mohanji centers have “Ahimsa cafés” serving vegan food. We already have them in Serbia and Slovenia. The idea is really fun: you order a vegan burger, but you get a wrap or pasta. You order coffee, but you get a smoothie, and so on. Expectations are blown away, and flexibility rises naturally.

I'm sure many people would become furious when this happens, ha-ha. But, what can I say, after all you've come to a Mohanji center, not a regular restaurant 🤣 At least let us move some of our boundaries, ha-ha!

Hopefully that brings us closer to a liberated existence which we so much admire in masters🥰

Bottom line: Mohanji says the more flexible we are, the more mature and stable we become!

Conclusion

About unpredictability, Mohanji also said,

“Life is like driving at night in the fog. When you switch on the headlights, you can only see a few meters ahead. You cannot see the whole road. You are not meant to. Sometimes you only need to see the next step.”
