Hi everyone! Some of you know that my recent trip to India came about due to a health problem. Conventional medicine hadn’t provided the relief I needed, so I sought healing through Ayurveda, an ancient Indian system of natural medicine that dates back over 5,000 years.
Before coming to India, I didn’t have the finances to make this journey possible, and it was the incredible support from members of the Mohanji family that made it happen. Although I had already experienced the kindness of the Mohanji family many times before, this generosity left a deep impact. Everything happened so smoothly. I am pretty sure things like this don’t happen easily in people’s lives. Sometimes you have to run marathons, or fall many times to get people like this to stand by you. I somehow got it for free and I don’t know what I did to deserve it. I can only thank Mohanji from the depth of my heart for the people I can call friends, or even more accurately “family” in this life because of him.
At the same time, something special was being planned for another member of the Mohanji family: my best friend Petar Milovanovic, the priest at the Mohanji Peace Center in Serbia. I’d like to share the stories of how the Mohanji family showered us both with love at almost the same time, each for different reasons.
Isn’t it interesting? Two different people. Two reasons. Same unity. Same family. Same time.
Petar’s birthday surprise
Petar and I have been friends for over 11 years. He has long wanted to visit Shirdi, a town in India where the great spiritual master Shirdi Sai Baba lived and died. You all probably know that Sai Baba’s presence is one of the most important things at the Mohanji Peace Center in Serbia, where Petar now lives, and where he takes care of Sai Baba’s statue and the sacred room surrounding it. Living at the center has allowed Petar to develop a profound connection with Sai Baba.

Petar ensures Shirdi Sai Baba’s statue and room are always clean, energized, and sacred. Ever since he started living at the Mohanji Peace Center, he has developed a deep connection to Sai Baba. He received many blessings and benefits in his life ever since he moved there. As an objective observer, I have to say his transformation has been remarkable. Within just over a year at the Mohanji Peace Center, Petar has grown into a very responsible, confident, stable individual. His transformation was like a rocket that flew into the cosmos and expanded there.
Shirdi Sai Baba’s presence is felt at the Mohanji Peace Center as if he is alive there. His statue is not just for people to see or admire. It actually gives people tangible and transformative experiences, leaving people lighter, happier, less burdened and much more stable compared to how they were before coming to him. Shirdi Sai Baba invisibly gives something to every individual who comes to him. When you ask him anything at all, you will know he hears you and responds to you. Things in your life actually start to change. All that it takes is openness to Baba.

As Petar’s birthday approached, I was thinking about what to gift him for his birthday this year. I was sitting in the kitchen at the Mohanji Peace Center one day, and he was washing the dishes. I asked him, “What would you like to have this year for your birthday?” He told me something like “I don’t know”. I told him, “Don’t worry. I am getting some ideas.” Thoughts of gifting him a trip to Shirdi had already been cooking in my brain for some time. I wasn’t aware it was Baba who planted that thought there.
When Petar said, “I don’t know”, I felt as if a strong thought entered my brain and said, “It has to be Shirdi.” I later realized that even this thought was sent by Baba. A few days later, I told Djurdja that I’d like to create a group of around 60 Mohanji family members who loved Petar and cared for him a lot, who would donate each around 10 to 15 euros, which would make it possible for him to at least purchase the flight ticket. We all know how hard Petar works at the Mohanji Peace Center, and that he hardly has the time to earn for himself, so this was the perfect gift.
I knew all the people would agree to do this, but I had no idea how exactly it would unfold. At that time I certainly had no awareness how much Shirdi Sai Baba was invisibly overseeing this project, protecting it from falling apart, fueling it with the right people, the right actions, accurate details. With time, his and Mohanji’s invisible hand in this project became more and more visible.
Djurdja and I expanded our list to about 80 people who would join us in bringing Petar to Shirdi Sai Baba’s embrace. She created a WhatsApp group that quickly turned into a hub of love and unity. All the people were happy to participate.
As I had said before, my very first thought was to at least cover Petar’s flight ticket to India. Instead, so many more things were added to it spontaneously. That is how I started recognizing Baba’s hand in it. As Mohanji says, “He is no-nonsense man. He knows what he’s doing.” 🥹
A series of miracles
Miracle after miracle unfolded. One of the first ones was when Monika and Nemanja Nedic (one of the best married couples from Mohanji family) informed the group that they would be going to Shirdi just a few days after Petar’s original birthday, and offered to have him join their trip. They had planned this much before and had no idea about this plan for Petar's birthday at the moment of booking their trip. It was another proof that Baba had planned this well in advance, ensuring Petar has the right company for the trip. In fact, Monika and Nemanja even planned to go without telling anybody. That didn't go so well 😂 In addition to that, honestly, I can't think of better travel-buddies than Monika and Nemanja. I know Petar doesn’t prefer to travel alone, and I also wouldn’t recommend it because it’s much better to have experienced people with you in this case, especially in India. So, company — check!

The next miracle was that within just 12 hours after opening the WhatsApp group, a big part of the donations were received to Monika’s account (she became the money-keeper for Petar’s trip) and she was able to purchase the ticket immediately. It was just divine. It was as if Baba whispered to everybody’s hearts so that everybody does it with no delay, knowing how much Petar deserves it. Money — check.
The next miracle was when Monika purchased Petar’s ticket. The remaining amount of money in her account was 108 euros and some dinars. The number 108 is very sacred and has a profound spiritual meaning. We were all shocked and we knew it was a good sign. Divine support — check.
Our WhatsApp group was buzzing with messages, updates, joy, plans, organizing. In the meantime, it was decided that we would also throw a secret party for Petar on the day of his birthday, where the gift would be revealed to him in person. Anja perfectly took care of that and many people participated in making the food, printing materials, etc. Party — check.
Monika and Nemanja surprised us even more and suggested that Petar could not only go to Shirdi, but that at the end of their trip, they could fly to Abu Dhabi and spend another whole day there, at the beautiful and luxurious 5-star Radisson Blu hotel. This was Monika’s and Nemanja’s personal donation to Petar. They had already planned it for themselves, so they just called the hotel and requested a three person bedroom instead of two.
When I later spoke to Petar, after the gift was already given to him, he told me that he had a desire exactly for such an experience. This is what Shirdi Sai Baba always does (Mohanji does that too) — he fulfills people’s sincere desires, whatever they may be. He listens and delivers, every time, all the time. Luxurious experience — check.
Monika and Nemanja also changed their reservation in Shirdi as another part of their gift to Petar, adding one more bed for him in the room.
In addition to that, a few weeks before Petar’s birthday, Mohanji visited Serbia. Monika had the opportunity to present to Mohanji our gift for Petar. Mohanji liked it and he invited Monika, Nemanja and Petar to also come to Delhi, for the celebration of the 21st anniversary of Ammucare (a charitable trust founded by Mohanji 21 years ago in the honor of his late daughter Ammu). This is an important event and it was another blessing for Petar, to be in the presence of Mohanji on his last day in India.
Lastly, Petar’s parents told me that they were planning to purchase a new mobile phone for Petar for his birthday because his phone was already getting old. When this came true, Petar was so happy that he now even had a new phone for his special trip, with a camera that could capture high quality pictures and make great memories. Phone — check.
All in all, Petar’s trip of a lifetime was nothing but a miracle. All the dots were put in their place. No detail was missed by Baba.
So, no, it was not just the ticket! Can you believe the growth of this project from its inception? As Mohanji says, “It’s easy to break one stick, but when many sticks are together, it’s difficult to break them.” That is the power of Mohanji family and the reason why I'm sharing this blog. So many small miracles came together to create this effect. That is how the Datta tradition works — the tradition of great masters which Mohanji and Shirdi Sai Baba belong to.
I have another fun fact to add.
Despite so many people taking part in this surprise, we made sure not to let Petar suspect at any moment. He had no clue what was coming, yet he called me one day and said, “Mina, you know what? It’s possible that I may go to India in January.” It was just a few days before his gift would be given to him, so you can imagine my shock.
For a long time, Petar wasn't even thinking about India and didn’t have a desire to go. He was more attracted to visiting South America and organizing some Mohanji activities there. Suddenly, a desire for India arose in him the moment this gift started being prepared for him. Some people started texting our secret group that Petar told them he even wanted to try to take a loan from the bank to go. We were all secretly laughing. How could he sense this? He said he is ready to do anything to go as soon as possible. Some people had to calm him down and tell him to wait just a little. The gift was just a few days away.
When we spoke over the phone that time, he told me, “I really want to go, I just don’t know how yet. I feel something is being cooked. I don’t know what, but something is being cooked. I am getting some feelings and confirmations. I am feeling something.” I was joking with some people that he became so clairvoyant after so much time spent near Shirdi Sai Baba in Serbia that we couldn’t properly hide a surprise from him. When I recently spoke to him, he said he really didn’t suspect anything. He was getting some feelings that he may go soon, but he didn’t know somebody was preparing that as a gift for him.
Petar’s clairvoyance was proof of how much a person can transform in Baba’s presence, to the level of feeling things before they happen. This happens to many people who spend their time near Baba or serving Baba as Petar did. Fog is removed from the mind and all that stays is clarity. All people can be clairvoyant, but we usually aren’t because of the fog in our minds (too much emotional garbage or trash information).
The gift was finally presented to Petar in person on his official birthday, October 27, at the Mohanji Peace Center in Serbia. Over 40 people gathered to surprise him. Monika, Nemanja and Petar travelled to Abu Dhabi and then to India, and they are in Shirdi right now.
My health treatment in India
As I had said before, in parallel with Petar's gift preparation, Mohanji family was helping me with my healing journey in India. The treatments began while preparations for Petar's gift were still happening.
These are the people who participated in making this important trip and treatment monetarily possible for me: Sanja Banjanac, Devadas AC, Marjan Stojković, Predrag Dobrović, Loris Vitasović, Aleksandar Janjić, Angela Strezoska, the Ammucare team, Jovan Djoković, Tamara Drasković, Tamara Živulj Miletić, Dragan i Željka Lazović, Tanja Milosević, Ivana Mrdak, Ana Žikić, Sonja Vidojević, Monika Nedić, Latika (Tatjana Miljojčić), Mirjana Grbić, Bojana Brelin, Vesna Mišić, Violeta Popović, Srdjan Mareš, Anja Jeremić, Cecilia Gonzalez, Milena Simić.
I thank each one of you endlessly. I am still getting healed, but with such people and love showered upon me, I don't have to be worried. I haven't stopped receiving blessings similar to this ever since I met Mohanji back in 2016. Somehow, no matter how hard the times can get, help always finds me and Mohanji always has my back. He is like a loyal friend who keeps following you wherever you are, clearing out the way for you to walk.
Conclusion
Reflecting on these experiences, I have come to appreciate several things:
The power of Mohanji family has no limits. Love unites us and we care for each other. We take care of each other exactly in the way Mohanji cares for people. Mohanji never sat down to teach us this. His lifestyle speaks more than words. When somebody is a pure example of what they preach, they “walk the talk”, it’s easier for us to adopt it in our lifestyle. I see all the kindness of Mohanji family as an extension of Mohanji.
This journey has shown me how precious genuine friendships and connections are. The support I received from Mohanji family members is a reminder that true relationships are built on understanding, shared purpose, and mutual care. The selfless support they showered on me can inspire each of us to extend the same generosity to others.
The Datta tradition, to which Mohanji and Sai Baba belong, is rooted in truth. It is a no-nonsense tradition. Everything is given to those who stay put. Not a single detail will be missed by the great masters. The priority of the tradition is the happiness of all their children. Children are taken care of in the most loving way. Children should be happy that destiny allowed this golden path to enter their lives. Nothing happens without a karmic allowance or the allowance of destiny. Mohanji opened the doors of this tradition and brought it to our doorstep. We should be eternally grateful.
When people unite in love, they can move mountains. We can do so much more if only we stick together.
Faith and patience are rewarded. Mohanji and the Datta tradition emphasize the importance of patience and unwavering faith. This experience reaffirmed that blessings often unfold at the right time, in unexpected ways, if we remain steadfast and trust in the process.
Experiencing so much love and support has filled me with deep gratitude. This gratitude, I realize, is more than just appreciation — it’s a way of staying open to the flow of blessings in our lives.
I am forever grateful for the love, support, and miracles I have received. Mohanji will die one day, but he will leave behind a legacy based on unconditional love. Every breath of his life on Earth is dedicated to building this legacy. He doesn't rest until he does everything in his power to serve the world and make it a better place. His time on Earth will be remembered forever. His love will unite people forever.
